E & H’s Tipi Festival Wedding in Cranleigh (Second Shooting)

Another crazy, epic wedding where the weather was rather dramatic!

In August I once again had the privilege of second shooting for Dominic Smith Photography at a festival themed tipi wedding on a secluded farm in Cranleigh. It was the worst storm of the year and it happened to start directly overhead exactly when the ceremony started. The ceremony was held outside and there was no cover, and the heavens opened just as everyone started gathering. There was no gap between the lightning and the thunder the storm was so close, and every thunder clap shook the ground. This would of course make most people change their plans, but not this couple! They just embraced it and went for it, and we all gathered under umbrellas to watch. It made for some rather epic photos, and the ceremony was so beautiful, if not a little dramatic!

After the ceremony we took the couple for photos, and suddenly the storm cleared and a single ray of sun came shining through the forest, creating some once-in-a-lifetime images that could never be recreated. They almost look like paintings, I didn’t even have to edit them they were so perfect!

So here are my favourites from throughout this epic day, let me know what you think! Such an unforgettable day I was so privileged to be a part of!
